Introduction Were on the lookout for a motivated and handson Trade Assistant to support our skilled team at HMPS Propacs Adelaide Airport site. Responsibilities Support mechanical and electrical builds: Assist tradespeople in assembling, fitting, and wiring components for advanced packaging machinery. Prepare and maintain the workshop: Keep work areas clean, organised, and stocked with the right tools and materials. Handle parts and equipment: Receive, store, and move components and equipment safely and correctly. Assist with installations and testing: Lend a hand during system commissioning, testing, and customer site installations. Pitch in wherever needed: From basic fabrication tasks to loading machines for transport. Follow all safety procedures: Ensure a safe work environment by following site policies, using PPE, and maintaining compliance with WHS standards. Qualifications Previous experience in a manufacturing, workshop, or trade environment. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn from experienced tradespeople. Good communication and teamwork skills. Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and be on your feet throughout the day. A proactive, cando attitude and ability to take direction. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Preferred Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one. Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude. Drivers licence and reliable transport.
