Hotel Manager Beauty Point, TAS Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working to assist an iconic waterfront hotel overlooking the Beauty Point Marina and Tamar River in Tasmania as they recruit a skilled and experienced Hotel Manager The venue includes a bistro, bar, sports bar, gaming facilities, alfresco deck dining, private function room, and a motel with river views. The hotels new Hotel Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient staff supervision, and smooth business operations in line with hospitality standards and compliance requirements. Salary: Negotiable in the range of $80k to $85k plus superannuation per annum. Tenure: Full-time and ongoing. Location: Beauty Point, Tasmania. The duties and responsibilities of the position will include: Oversee daily hotel, bar, bistro, and accommodation operations to ensure seamless service delivery. Lead, train, roster, and supervise staff across frontofhouse, kitchen, housekeeping, and gaming. Manage financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, stock control, and cost management. Strengthen revenue performance across bistro, bar, and gaming through targeted promotions. Ensure compliance with RSA, RSG, gaming regulations, and responsible service policies promoted by the venue. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction across all departments. Coordinate private functions, events, and waterfront dining experiences. Oversee motel operations including reservations, housekeeping schedules, guest checkins, and maintenance coordination. Implement marketing initiatives, promotions, and community engagement activities. Manage supplier relationships and procurement for food, beverage, and operational supplies. Respond to guest feedback, resolve issues, and uphold the hotels reputation as a key regional hospitality destination. You should be able to demonstrate the following attributes and strengths to be considered: At least 1 or more years experience specifically in a similar hospitality environment at supervisory or management levels. Appropriate relevant post-secondary qualifications to at least Diploma level or equivalent. Demonstrate a strong customer focus - possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to deal with and work with a diverse range of customers. Experience in managing highvolume periods including events, holiday seasons, and waterfront dining peaks. Possess or willingness to obtain Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RSG), First Aid & CPR Certification, and Food Safety Supervisor Certification. Strong leadership and staff management skills. High level of organisation, time management, and attention to detail. Sound knowledge of booking/reservation systems and EFTPOS systems. Experience managing budgets and financial reporting. Understanding of Workplace Health & Safety and relevant compliance standards. Knowledge of local tourism industry and regional Tasmania hospitality trends. You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
