Verve Partners are proud to be exclusively partnering with ATB Morton Group to appoint a Business Manager to lead their Coatings Division. This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role within a well-established, highly respected industrial business, offering genuine ownership of a critical division and the ability to shape its next phase of growth. The Opportunity Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for the leadership, performance and continued growth of the Coatings Division, spanning galvanising, thermal zinc diffusion and industrial paint operations. With a workforce of 70+ across multiple sites and a long-tenured, high-performing team, this is an opportunity to lead an established and successful division, sharpen performance, strengthen capability and unlock the next stage of growth. You will operate across both strategic and operational levels, driving commercial outcomes, lifting operational excellence, strengthening the team and identifying new opportunities for growth and innovation. Key Responsibilities Lead and inspire a large, established workforce across multiple coating operations Drive operational performance across production, quality, safety and delivery Manage full P&L responsibility, including budgets, forecasting and cost control Strengthen customer relationships and identify new commercial opportunities Partner with senior leadership on strategy, planning and continuous improvement initiatives Champion safety, compliance and sustainability across all operations Review and optimise paint and coating processes, driving efficiency and innovation About You We are seeking a commercially astute and people-focused leader who can bring both structure and energy to the role.You will bring: Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, coatings, galvanising or a related industry Strong business management capability with P&L ownership A track record of leading large teams and driving performance outcomes The ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills A genuine commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement While industry experience is valued, leadership capability is the priority, supported by a strong and experienced team already in place.Why ATB Morton ATB Morton Group is a recognised leader in protective coatings, with a reputation built on quality, reliability and long-term customer relationships.
