Job Description

Some projects fail long before construction begins. Poor design coordination. Weak contract positioning. Risks that get ignored until they become expensive problems. Thats why this role matters. As Head of Projects, youll own the entire project function from preconstruction through to delivery and close-out. Youll make sure projects are commercially sound, buildable, properly resourced, and set up for success before they ever hit site. Youll lead the people, systems, and strategy that keep projects moving predictably. Youll oversee commercial performance, guide delivery teams through complex challenges, and step in early when projects start drifting off course. This is a role for someone who knows how to balance big-picture strategy with day-to-day execution. Someone who understands that successful delivery starts with strong leadership, smart planning, and proactive risk management. This isnt a traditional operational management role buried in admin and endless reporting. This is a high-impact leadership role where youll shape how projects are won, structured, and delivered across the business. Youll oversee the full project portfolio, leading Project Managers and delivery teams while working closely with senior leadership to drive performance across safety, commercial outcomes, programme certainty, and client satisfaction. Youll own the front-end of projects, ensuring designs are coordinated, risks are identified early, procurement and sequencing strategies are aligned, and projects are commercially viable before commitments are made. Youll also lead project delivery at a portfolio level, ensuring timelines, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations are consistently achieved. From contract negotiations and design risk management through to delivery recovery strategies and executive stakeholder engagement, youll be the person keeping everything aligned and moving forward. This role offers the chance to build structure, improve systems, uplift capability, and create a project function that scales alongside a rapidly growing business. Youre an experienced project leader who understands how complex construction or manufacturing projects succeed. Youve led large-scale projects or project portfolios before, ideally within construction, modular construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments, and you know how to balance commercial realities with delivery expectations. You understand contracts beyond the fine print. You know how to position projects commercially, manage risk proactively, and protect margins while maintaining strong client relationships. Youre comfortable leading teams, holding people accountable, and creating a culture where performance, safety, and continuous improvement are non-negotiable. You know how to spot delivery risks early, solve problems before they escalate, and bring clarity to high-pressure situations. Youre commercially sharp, operationally strong, and confident engaging with clients, consultants, and stakeholders at an executive level. Youve likely worked across areas like: Formal qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related disciplines would be highly regarded, but what matters most is your ability to lead, influence, and deliver outcomes. If youre someone who thrives on ownership, enjoys building high-performing teams, and wants to play a key role in scaling a growing business, this could be the opportunity youve been looking for. Interpod is a national leader in modular manufacturing with strong momentum and ambitious growth plans ahead. The business is continuing to expand its project portfolio, delivery capability, and production output, backed by a practical leadership team focused on long-term success. Interpod combines innovation with operational excellence, delivering high-quality modular solutions across complex construction environments. The culture is collaborative, accountable, and delivery-focused. People are trusted to take ownership, solve problems, and make meaningful contributions to the business. This is an opportunity to join a company at a pivotal stage of growth and help shape the future of its project delivery capability. If you have a CV, click apply to be immediately considered.
