What You Will Be Doing In This Role At the San, we take pride in providing not only topoff medical care but also nutritious, wellbalanced meals for our patients. Our hospital kitchen is a vital part of our mission to promote health and healing, and we are looking for dedicated Kitchen Assistants to join our team on a casual basis. Our casual Kitchen Assistants are primarily responsible for food preparation, meal plating, meal delivery to wards and clearing meals. Youll ensure the kitchen remains spotless and hygienic, clean dishes, and help organise storage areas. Youll be supported by our great team, and work closely with chefs, nutritionists, and other kitchen staff to help assemble and deliver meals efficiently. You will be part of our wider Food Services department which offers around 20 different Kitchen Assistant shifts each day of the year, all with varied function, responsibility and shifts times. Who Were Looking For While prior experience in a similar role is an advantage and priority will be given to candidates with experience, its your positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and commitment to being part of our team that truly matter. Youll take pride in preparing meals that contribute to our patients'' recovery and wellbeing. Youll adhere to strict health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times. Youll be selfmotivated, always going above and beyond to provide excellent service to our patients. Youll demonstrate excellent interpersonal abilities, communicating professionally and thoughtfully. Youll be well organised with the ability to prioritise workload to meet tight time schedules when required. Youll be dependable, committed, and able to work 3+ MonFri casual shifts per week consistently. Youll have full Australian working rights.
