The purpose of this role is to support the Finance Manager and Finance General Manager in the Corporate Finance function ensuring accuracy and integrity of financials and maintaining compliance with accounting standard and regulations and to provide quality accounting services to Laing ORourke Business Units and projects.Key responsibilitiesReview and prepare month-end journals for proportional consolidation of joint ventures and alliancesReview and update monthly project forecast to ensure alignment with the business plan and processAssist with various accounting assessment and treatments in preparation of year end audit and disclosuresPrepare and reconcile various balance sheet accountsPrepare and review journal entries including accruals, prepayments, consolidation elimination, one-off large transactionsPerform monthly/quarterly corporate overhead analysis investigation and commentary on actual versus budgeted expenditure and liaison with Functional HeadsAssist with preparation of annual budget for Corporate overheadsLiaise with and build working relationships with Business Units, Joint Ventures & Alliances, Site Staff, other Corporate Overhead functions, Accounts Payable and Payroll teamsIdentify process gap and assist with process improvement/innovation/automationAd-hoc tasks as assigned from time to timeAbout youIntermediate Excel skillsTM1 experience preferableTechnical Accounting Knowledge preferableCA/CPA or working towards1-2 years accounting experience in a commercial environmentConstruction industry experience preferableAudit of construction entities experience is a plusBenefitsWe work hard to create an environment that brings out the best in our people.
