Location Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO) is an integrated system of four processing hubs and five mines connected by more than 1,000 kilometres of rail infrastructure and port facilities in the Pilbara region of northern Western Australia. This role is based at Rail working FIFO (5/2/4/3 roster) primarily out of Port Hedland, with regular travel to other operational sites. About The Role Reporting to the BOS Lead, this position is accountable for building the maturity of the BHP Operating System (BOS) and delivering continuous improvement initiatives for the site by effectively influencing and collaborating across departments and workstreams. Key Accountabilities Enable a high performing improvement culture at all levels within the operation, focusing coaching activities at Frontline to Superintendent level (L1-L3) Assist site leaders with the identification, prioritisation, problem solving and implementation of frontline improvement and prioritised Kaizen / site breakthrough initiatives at L3 (departmental level) Assist site management in monitoring and building BOS capability across the site, identifying local training needs and conducting presentations, workshops and training using storytelling to connect, influence and engage the audience Build the operational site teams ability to problem solve and continually improve their work based on Standardised Work, replicating and sharing best practices within high impact repetitive activities to make frontline work safer, easier, and better Enable the growth and utilisation of Standardised Work (SW) within the operation, including creating new and updating existing SW Enable the core systems associated with the improvement at the site, assisting operational teams in accessing, using, and managing information in CoreWork, BrightSpot, MyBOS, SW Field App, SW Builder App, WAVE and KaiNexus Identify, implement, and evaluate the success of continuous improvement activities/initiatives to enhance the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of BHP systems and processes while identifying, engaging and managing a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders About You Prior experience as a Leader or Technical Professional Exposure to rail, mining, maintenance or processing is ideal but experience in other industries that utilise an operating system founded on operational excellence principles would be highly regarded (e.g. manufacturing, health, finance, logistics, etc.) Understanding/exposure to continuous improvement methodologies and organisational change Strong skills in driving improvement, empowering others, coaching and communication Comfortable with ambiguity, complexity and delivering outcomes in a matrix environment using your collaboration, engagement, influence, and coaching skills We value diversity in thinking and this role will leverage your ability to get the best from a diverse and inclusive team culture Benefits We offer flexible working options, a generous paid parental leave policy, extended leave entitlements, parent rooms, and a bestinclass employee share program.
