About The Role We are now seeking an Injury and Wellness Specialist to join our Health, Safety & Environment team at Tropicana Gold Mine. Reporting to the Health and Hygiene Superintendent, you will be responsible for the provision of high quality remote health care related to the management, prevention and treatment of injuries and illnesses. This role is offered on a 4/3 FIFO roster from Perth or Kalgoorlie. Responsibilities Undertaken worker focused case management to effectively manage safe and timely return to work for AGA workers Provide physiotherapy and functional assessment and treatment services to workers on site Develop and oversee physical, wellness and fitness programs Oversee contractor injury management cases, systems, and processes Provide technical support to line management for issues such as injury classifications, fitness for work, ergonomic evaluations and return to work programmes Review medicals and provide advice on suitability, accommodation and fitness to work Arrange and undertake assessments for specific groups including the emergency response team and other required medical assessments With registered nurses, maintain medical files for the Tropicana employees and contractors and ensure the security and confidentiality of such records Assist the Health and Hygiene Team with accurate reporting of occupational injuries and illness Qualifications Tertiary level qualifications in Physiotherapy Unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist Demonstrated knowledge in injury management with practical experience Proven knowledge of Western Australias workers compensation system A handson approach to physiotherapy treatment and assessments ideally in an occupational setting Strong interpersonal, influencing, communication and motivating skills Previous experience working on a mine site is preferred but not essential Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a broader health and safety team A current WA C Class drivers licence Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance Current unrestricted working rights in Australia is mandatory Benefits Top tier gold cover private health insurance for you and your family (fully paid) Flexible working policy Attractive annual bonus Opportunity to work for an endorsed WORK180 employer and an accredited menopausefriendly employer 26 weeks primary and 8 weeks secondary paid parental leave Access to a wide range of training and development opportunities and further study assistance Active committees driving a culture of inclusion and belonging Giving back to your community with volunteering leave Salary sacrifice and novated lease options #J-18808-Ljbffr
