Where you''ll be working Warada is a 28 bed medical ward for Respiratory and Gastroenterology specialties. The acuity of the patients is diverse across these specialties and includes patients who require invasive diagnostic procedures, non-invasive ventilation therapy, high flow oxygen therapy and tracheostomy management. The nursing team is supported by a Clinical Nurse Consultant, a Clinical Nurse Educator and the Nurse Unit Manager. The Clinical Nurse Educator provides coordination, delivery and evaluation of clinical nurse education (including programs) at the ward/unit level. Such education may include orientation and/or transitioning for new nursing staff, undergraduate and casual nurses as well as meeting the ongoing educational needs of existing nursing staff. The Clinical Nurse Educator also provides clinical supervision at the point of care within everyday clinical practice, in line with the ANMC Decision Making Frameworks for Nurses and Midwives. Holds a relevant clinical or education post registration qualification or 3 years clinical experience in the field. Effective communication and interpersonal skills Understanding of teaching and learning in the health care environment (adult learning principles). Demonstrated clinical teaching & facilitation skills. Demonstrated knowledge of competency attainment and assessment. Computer literacy and understanding of hospital information systems.
