Autism Practitioners (Support Workers) West of Scotland Area Services Helensburgh Full Time, Part Time and Nightshift positions available We are expanding our services in Helensburgh and have two new outreach services supporting one young autistic male who enjoys lego building, gardening and the gym, and one young autistic female who loves art and craft activities. Our Helensburgh team also provides 24hour support to three young autistic adults who are active, socially engaged and maintain local community connections. Each individual has a personcentred support plan that incorporates consistency and structure specific to their needs. Activities include long scenic walks, visits to museums and historic sites, musical theatre, horse riding, swimming, music festivals, and eating out. About the role As part of our team, you will play a pivotal role in helping people achieve their aspirations and lead fulfilling lives. Responsibilities Developing and implementing personalised support plans tailored to the unique needs of each person. Building positive, trusting relationships with the people you support. Empowering people to make informed choices using their preferred communication methods. Supporting individuals to participate in activities they enjoy, such as day trips, local events, shopping, holidays, and shared activities. Assisting with tasks that enable individuals to maintain their homes, including paying bills and making important personal decisions. Encouraging and supporting people to live as independently as possible, including developing life skills and providing personal care when needed. Collaborating with each person, their family, support network and health professionals to provide holistic support. Partnering with stakeholders to keep each persons life goals and aspirations at the heart of their care. Qualifications & Requirements Desirable to have a minimum of one year of experience in a social care setting. Preferred to hold a full UK driving licence for manual vehicles. Able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
