One day youre scrubbed in beside a specialist surgeon at a referring clinic across Sydney. The next, youre assisting with complex procedures in our Advanced Treatment Centre in Miranda. This is surgical vet nursing at specialist level skilled, mobile, and genuinely rewarding. About VSOS Veterinary Specialists of Sydney (VSOS) is one of Australias leading independently owned specialist veterinary hospitals. Our team delivers advanced care across surgery, neurology, interventional radiology, cardiology and 24/7 emergency medicine. Our mobile surgery service extends specialist expertise directly into referring clinics across Sydney, supported by our purposebuilt Advanced Treatment Centre in Miranda, equipped with MRI, CT, fluoroscopy and dedicated surgical theatres. We are seeking experienced Surgical Nurses to support both our mobile surgery service and hospital theatre team. The Role You will work directly alongside specialist surgeons delivering advanced procedures both in referring clinics across Sydney and within our Miranda surgical theatres. This role requires a nurse who is confident in theatre, organised under pressure, and capable of managing the logistics that allow surgery to run seamlessly. Mobile Surgical Support Travel with specialist surgeons to referring clinics across Sydney Scrub in and assist with advanced surgical procedures Establish and maintain sterile theatre environments in external clinics Manage surgical equipment, instrument packs and mobile theatre logistics Liaise professionally with referring clinic teams Theatre Miranda based Advanced Treatment Centre Assist specialist surgeons in complex procedures Patient preparation, positioning and sterile field management Surgical instrument and equipment management Collaborate closely with our instrumentation and theatre teams Operations & Logistics Drive and maintain VSOS surgical vehicles Prepare and restock surgical kits and instruments Maintain surgical equipment standards and reporting About You This role is suited to an experienced veterinary nurse with strong surgical competence and clinical confidence. Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) Minimum 23 years clinical veterinary nursing experience Demonstrated surgical nursing and sterile theatre experience A full NSW drivers licence Exceptional organisation and communication skills The ability to adapt quickly in fastpaced clinical environments Important: This role is suited to experienced surgical veterinary nurses only.
