The role Learning Diversity Assistant A fixed term parttime (45 days) position is now available for an experienced Learning Diversity Assistant. The contract is fixed until 9th December 2026, working a minimum of 4 days per week. Key Responsibilities Assist students in classrooms by supporting differentiated learning, delivering interventions and providing physical or emotional support. Work under teacher supervision to help students complete tasks, stay focused, transition between activities and take learning breaks. Record observations and feedback on student progress to aid teachers in shaping learning outcomes. Build positive relationships with students, providing effective support across a range of needs including disabilities and giftedness. Deliver smallgroup intervention programmes, with limited admin time for planning. Secondary LDAs may receive admin time for familiarisation with curriculum and texts. Administrative tasks such as writing ILPs, timetabling and NCCD documentation remain the responsibility of teaching staff. Manage communications, complete incident reports, perform yard duties and fulfil other scheduled responsibilities. Skills and Experience Certificate III Education Support or Professional Certificate of Education Support (Monash University) highly regarded but not essential. Understand the nature of primary or secondary students with special needs. Previous experience as a learning support, integration or teacher aide will be highly regarded but is not a must.
