Location: Eastern Creek, Australia Sector: Manufacturing & Production Salary: $50.00 per hour Overview A large, modern distribution facility in Eastern Creek specialising in aluminium products for construction and manufacturing. The site operates highvolume pick, pack and dispatch functions, handling longlength materials such as aluminium rods and bars. It supports processes like cutting, coating and finishing before distribution in a fastpaced, teamoriented environment that prioritises safety, efficiency and quality control. Equipped with organised storage systems and material handling equipment, the facility services a broad customer base across the region, ensuring timely delivery and reliable supply of specialised aluminium products. Must be available to work overtime. Key Responsibilities Prepare aluminium surfaces for coating (cleaning, masking, pretreatment) Operate automated hanging and pulley systems for materials to be loaded into spray machinery, booths and ovens Operate powder coating and spray equipment and booths Ensure proper mixing and application of paints, coatings, and finishes in accordance with specifications Apply coatings evenly to required thickness and finish standards Monitor curing ovens and ensure proper bake cycles Conduct visual and quality inspections of finished products and apply final endofline touchups as required Inspect finished products for defects such as uneven coating, bubbles or missed areas Rework items as required to meet quality standardsMaintain equipment and ensure spray guns are functioning correctly Follow production schedules and meet daily output targets Stage finished goods for the despatch team to load for deliveries Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures at all times Experience Required Experience in powder coating or industrial spray painting (preferred) Knowledge of aluminium finishing processes Previous experience in spray painting or similar trade, with knowledge of spray equipment and coating materials Understanding of surface preparation, paint mixing and application techniques Ability to operate spray guns and coating equipment Strong attention to detail and quality control Keen eye for quality and finish pride in end product Physically fit and able to handle manual work Ability to work in a fastpaced manufacturing environment Excellent understanding of workplace safety standards Happy to get physical lifting and handson work are part of the job A problemsolver who wants to do the job right, not just fast Ability to work independently and as part of a small, handson team A positive attitude and willingness to jump in where needed Advantageous Certificate in Surface Finishing, Manufacturing or similar Forklift licence Experience with automated coating lines #J-18808-Ljbffr
