THE ROLE Do you love working with kids and know how to bring the energy? YMCA South Australia is looking for a Birthday Party Host to join our team at Whyalla Recreation Centre and help create memorable experiences for children and families at our recreation centres. In this role, you will plan and run a range of birthday party programs including pool-based parties, play caf, jumpy castle and stadium events. You will lead structured games and activities, make sure every child has a safe, fun time from start to finish, and work alongside a supportive team to maintain a welcoming environment for families. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Host a range of birthday party programs including aquatic, play caf, jumpy castle and stadium parties, leading structured games and activities for children of all ages and abilities Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming pool environment throughout each party Set up and pack down party areas before and after each session Complete daily checklists and incident reports in line with YMCA SA policies Communicate professionally with families, responding promptly to needs and concerns Uphold YMCA SA''s safeguarding standards and act in the best interests of children at all times REQUIREMENTS FOR THE Y Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain: HLTAID009 Provide CPR Certificate of completion for Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect Education and Care Training Excellent interpersonal and communication skills For aquatic based parties, at least one of the following qualifications: SISSS00133 Pool Lifeguard SISSS00131 Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety Bronze Medallion To view the position descriptions for this role, please visit our website at ABOUT THE Y YMCA South Australia is a not-for-profit community organisation that has served the South Australian community for more than 170 years.
