Manage all kitchen operations at our gorgeous 134 bed Blue Haven aged care facility in Kiama Lead, direct, inspire and nurture a team of 10-15 Cooks and Kitchen Hands Be involved in food preparation, cooking and presentation Ensure the kitchen meets food safety standards and has successful audit outcomes Consult with Dietitians and Speech Pathologists to design menus that are appetising and align with residents needs and choices Encourage and address feedback to achieve continuous improvements Manage costs, effectively control stock and identify efficiencies to meet budget What you''ll get in return Great job satisfaction see your team develop whilst supporting residents wellbeing by providing nutritious meals Maintain your trade by being hands on and cooking food A well-staffed home with a friendly and collaborative environment Ongoing training and development opportunities Be appreciated - we know our staff are integral to achieving our vision and are committed to employee wellness Competitive remuneration package and access to retail discounts About you Proven track record as a Head Chef or Chef Manager in residential aged care Experienced and hands on leader who is passionate about developing, nurturing and teaching staff to achieve a culture of teamwork and success Superb communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, embraces a challenge, and views feedback as an opportunity to improve Passionate about food and wants to remain involved in food preparation and cooking NDIS Worker Screening Check, influenza vaccination (or willing to obtain) and unlimited working rights in Australia Are you salivating?
