Development Manager We are a well-established and reputable business based on the Gold Coast with a strong focus on professionalism, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. We are seeking a highly experienced Development Manager with extensive knowledge in residential and land lease community property developments. The successful candidate will take a hands-on leadership role across the entire project lifecycle from due diligence; feasibility assessment; and design through to development approval; delivery; and handover, ensuring high-quality outcomes in acquisition, approvals, design, construction, stakeholder engagement, and full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Project Feasibility - Undertake due diligence, feasibility assessments, and financial modelling to support informed development decisions. Land Acquisition Identify and secure suitable sites while managing planning approvals and regulatory requirements. Design Coordination Lead and coordinate consultants to deliver design outcomes that align with project objectives and compliance standards. Project Delivery Oversee construction programs, budgets, and timelines to ensure high-quality and timely project completion. Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with councils, investors, and community stakeholders. Financial Management Manage project budgets, cash flow, and risk to ensure commercial success across all development stages. Skills & Experience Minimum 5+ years direct experience in Development Management within land lease communities, manufactured housing estates, or retirement living. Strong background in property development, planning legislation, and large-scale community projects. Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar budgets and complex approval processes. Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with experience dealing with councils and regulatory bodies. Strong commercial acumen with experience in financial feasibility and contract management. Ability to work autonomously and lead cross-functional teams with strategic oversight and hands-on execution.
