Community and Disability Support Worker Community and Disability Support Worker assist NDIS participants with a variety of needs in dierent ways. Duties and Responsibilities: Supports people with disabilities with daily activities such as mobility, housekeeping tasks, personal care, medication and meal preparation Negotiate with individuals and service providers regarding the support to be provided Identies and facilitates community-based social activities for people with disability Assists people with disability to access disability support services Supports people with disabilities with training and employment Manages risks and emergencies in a home care setting. Candidate: To be successful in this role, the candidate would have: A compassionate and empathetic demeanour. Strong listening and oral communication skills. Strong relationship-building skills. The ability to maintain clear professional boundaries. Experience with challenging behaviours. An enthusiastic outlook, very open, friendly, and a bubbly personality. Available to work on a variety of shifts including mornings and evenings. Salary: $40-43 an hour + Qualification: Must have completed at least Certificate 4 in Community Service or equivalent. (Desirable) Experience: Must have at least one year experience working as Disability Support Worker.
