SUSTAINABILITY AND COMPLIANCE OFFICERLocation: Hobart, Launceston or Mt Gambier (Green Triangle)Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time (negotiable) About the role:Were looking for a thoughtful and capableSustainability and Compliance Officerto support the delivery of SFMs Forest Management System. This is a varied role that blends systems, fieldwork and collaboration. Youll work closely with operational teams to ensure our forestry activities meet environmental, safety and certification standardswhile contributing to continuous improvement across the business. Its a great opportunity for someone who is motivated, enjoys meaningful work, values flexibility, and wants to contribute to positive environmental outcomes. What youll be doing Supporting the ongoing improvement of SFMs sustainability and compliance systems Assisting operational teams to apply environmental and certification requirements in day-to-day work Contributing to the identification and management of conservation values across the estate Participating in monitoring activities, including field inspections and data collection Supporting internal and external audits Assisting with reporting, data management and system updates Helping build awareness and capability across the business through clear communication and training (For full details, please refer to the Position Description.) About you:Youre organised, curious and motivated by work that has real environmental impact. You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, and youre comfortable engaging with people across different parts of a business. Were looking for someone with: Experience in sustainability, compliance or environmental management Strong organisational and communication skills Confidence working with systems, data and reporting tools An interest in continuous improvement and emerging technologies A practical mindset and willingness to get involved in field-based work when required Qualifications:A degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or a related field is preferred.
