Together we can do more. To provide the best possible imaging and ultrasound service, ensuring a high quality of patient care. This is necessary to ensure a best practice department with regard to the patients, visitors, medical and non-medical staff, and codes of practice. Participate in a rotating roster (24/7 and/or recall) performing a range of medical imaging related services as part of a multi-disciplinary team and also working independently at times. Utilise various imaging equipment to produce optimal patient care and images complimented by a range of IT products including PACS, Radiology and Hospital Information Systems. Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhavens major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services. In addition, please note you must have the following essential requirements: - Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role. - Working With Children Check (WWCC) - Current Registration with ASAR - Current registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) - Radiation Control Licence (NSW EPA) - A degree or equivalent in Medical Radiation Science which will ensure eligibility for membership of the Australian Society of Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) as well as a post graduate diploma or equivalent qualification in medical ultrasound ensuring Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) accreditation. - Valid NSW Drivers Licence ISLHD is an equal opportunity employer.
