Together we can do more. To provide the best possible imaging and ultrasound service, ensuring a high quality of patient care. This is necessary to ensure a best practice department with regard to the patients, visitors, medical and non-medical staff, and codes of practice. Participate in a rotating roster (24/7 and/or recall) performing a range of medical imaging related services as part of a multi-disciplinary team and also working independently at times. Utilise various imaging equipment to produce optimal patient care and images complimented by a range of IT products including PACS, Radiology and Hospital Information Systems. Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhavens major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
