About the role: We are seeking a Senior Security Officer Representative to join our team, providing sound advice and leadership across a wide range of security activities to support critical programs and projects. Your responsibilities will include: Develop, administer and audit security programs for compliance with regulations and requirements associated with the protection of classified material, export controlled data, and proprietary information. Apply business-minded and risk-managed solutions to security issues and business challenges, and communicate observations and recommendations to leadership and enterprise business partners. Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice and guidance on all security matters to stakeholders across the business. Contribute to customer meetings and actively support new business activities. Deliver innovative and practical security solutions to a wide range if complex problems. Facilitate clearance acceptance, (Security vetting requests, transfers, and updates) as required by Australian Security agencies and maintain appropriate records of all clearances. About you: The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong customer and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to build trusted and effective relationships across internal teams, external partners, and government stakeholders. They will also take a professional and proactive approach to problem-solving, confidently assessing risk and developing practical, business-focused security solutions that balance compliance with operational needs. Essential: Minimum 1-2 years experience working within Defence/Defence Industry Security Extensive experience working to Defence Industrial Security Program (DISP) requirements. Strong knowledge of: Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) Completion and acceptance by the Defence Security Agency (DSA) for Security Officer training Proven capability in developing practical, innovative solutions to complex problems.
