Steelpipes is a premier supplier and stockist of high-quality large-diameter carbon steel pipes. Based in Milperra, Sydney NSW and operating throughout Australia, we specialise in supplying an extensive range of large steel pipe, providing reliable products to the construction, marina and piling industries. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a driven & enthusiastic Account Managerto join our team. Based in Perth and supported by the Milperra head office team, this role will include both intrastate and interstate travel. The primary focus of this role is to build and grow the Steelpipes business in the WA and driving sales with a strong customer focus. As a national business, you will work closely with the broader Australian team and receive support when additional resources are required. Over time, the role will expand to include local management and coordination of purchasing and inventory for the WA region with support from the General Manager. This will mainly involve overseas sourcing, alongside local trading activities. You will work closely with the Steelpipes team to build strong relationships internally and externally, including customers, suppliers, and freight forwarders to achieve successful outcomes. You will also be responsible for handling sales calls and customer enquiries; marketing ourproducts and services whilst providing excellent customer service to our existing customer base as well as developing new business. The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience in a similar role A proven ability to sell and build strong customer relationships High-level attention to detail coupled with strong communication skills An eagerness and ability to work autonomously Knowledge of the pipe market or steel market in WA (desirable) We are looking for someone with a positive personality who builds relationships easily and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
