About the role: Under the supervision of the Manager of Social Support and Managing Solicitor of the Darwin Criminal Law Practice, the Client Support Case Worker provides individualised support and referral services to adults and young people before the court, or involved with the civil service, to ensure they receive appropriate non-legal support services. The role will initially adopt a specialist practice in youth justice context, with the view to practicing in other specialist areas over time. About you: The position requires a self-motivated person who has experience working with young people. The applicant will require an understanding of the criminal justice system and how it relates to young people and will focus on information, support, and assistance. On-going training will be provided in relation to specific legal issues. The successful applicant will be confident in case planning, providing support to young people and families and will value working collaboratively in a team and with other agencies.
