So many chatgpt blah blah adverts! Mind numbing applying for a job when they all sound the same!!! Let me tell you more about us: Were a young couple based in Surfers Paradise looking for someone reliable, switched-on, and proactive to help us take care of our home (and us sometimes!). We both work full-time from home and are looking for someone who naturally takes initiative, keeps things running without being asked, and notices what needs doing. We are already very tidy and organized, we have no kids (but my husband hasnt grown up yet so their is one big kid ) and no pets! This is not a role where youll be cleaning up after us, we are tidy and look after our home. Its about staying ahead of the house, maintaining a good standard, and handling the day-to-day so we dont have to think about it. We value people who do what they say theyll do. If youre someone who is unreliable, needs chasing, or avoids responsibility, this wont be the right fit. Were hiring to make our lives easier, not harder. We want clear communication, consistency, and someone who takes ownership of their role. At the same time, were straightforward and easy to work with. If you are honest and fair then youll have a lot of autonomy and wont be micromanaged. This role suits someone who is naturally genuine, fair, and caring, and who takes pride in doing things properly without cutting corners. We treat people well and value long-term working relationships. At the end of the day we are all humans, lets just have a nice, calm, happy, friendly place to be! Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and organization between weekly deep cleans (separate cleaner does weekly deep clean) Laundry, ironing, folding, and wardrobe organization Grocery shopping and pantry management meal prep and cooking daily, not chef standard just basic food, we are fussy eaters so simple is best! Receiving deliveries and managing trades people etc General household errands and upkeep Keeping the home consistently tidy, stocked, and guest ready About You Proactive and self-directed (you dont wait to be told) High attention to detail and strong personal standards Reliable, consistent, and organized. Discreet, trustworthy, and professional (you dont have to be boring just dont tell all our secrets haha) Comfortable working in a private home environment Naturally tidy and enjoys maintaining a well-run household Must have a drivers license and comfortable doing errands Police Check(or willing to obtain) Non smoker Australian working rights Details Full-time (Monday to Friday) we can talk about hours and how best we do it! Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast Competitive pay based on experience $35-$45/hr We will start on a casual hourly basis while we both make sure its the right fit. If it works well, were open to increasing pay or moving to a more structured arrangement.
