To find out more about UP Education, please visit www.up.education Job Description Permanent, part-time (31.5 hrs per week) with scope to move to full-time depending on enrolments)Salary: AUD $80,000-$85,000 base + superVehicle Allowance: AUD $17,000 including Fuel & eTag costs As a Trainer Assessor in Carpentry, you will deliver onsite training and assessment for apprentices across pre-apprenticeship, school-based, and workplace contexts. The Trainer & Assessor plays a key role in ensuring training is delivered to the highest standards of quality, compliance, and industry relevance. The role also supports student engagement, employer communication, assessment validation, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities This role will require the trainer to deliver training across various locations around Newcastle and surrounding regions. Occasional travel and overnight stay will be required (at the expense of CWBTS). Prepare and facilitate compliant, industry-aligned training sessions Support students through regular communication, feedback, and progress monitoring to ensure successful outcomes. Maintain accurate records in LMS, ReadySkills, and VETtrak Build strong relationships with apprentices and employers Qualifications Skills and Experience Trade qualification in Carpentry or equivalent Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) Demonstrated experience in apprenticeship-based training Strong interpersonal and communication skills High attention to detail, time management, and LMS/CRM proficiency Additional Requirements Valid Australian working rights & Working with Children''s Check (Employee) or willingness to obtain Police Check and medical (if required) Willingness to travel to training venues and worksites Participation in ongoing PD and compliance training Additional Information Why work with us?
