Requirements for this role: Flexible hours available 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role Expected salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per year About the role As the Senior Sous Chef , you will play a vital role in leading the culinary team and ensuring the delivery of an exceptional experience for our customers. In this full-time position based in Canberra, ACT, you will work closely with the managements teams to oversee kitchen operations and mentor the junior chefs. What you''ll be doing Assist management in planning and executing the menu, ensuring consistent high-quality food preparation and presentation Manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including scheduling, delegating tasks, and monitoring staff performance Train and develop the junior culinary team, imparting your expertise and fostering a positive and collaborative kitchen environment Maintain strict control over food costs and inventory, optimising efficiency and profitability with management Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations Collaborate with the front-of-house team to enhance the overall dining experience What we''re looking for Minimum 3 years experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment Proven track record of leading and motivating a culinary team to deliver exceptional results Strong skills in menu planning, food costing, and inventory management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments Passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes using high-quality ingredients Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene What we offer At Harvac Ptd, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
