Employment Type Permanent Part Time Hours per fortnight 28 hours Job Category Medical Specialist Recruitment Reference 8196 About The Role Barwon Health MHDAS provides rapid, evidencebased mental health care across acute and community settings. In the Emergency Mental Health service, you will deliver rapid, highquality assessment and intervention for consumers presenting in crisis, working across the Emergency Department and the broader MHAOD Hub to ensure timely access to care and safe clinical decisionmaking in highpressure environments. Key Responsibilities Provide urgent psychiatric assessment and risk management. Support emergency department and crisis response pathways. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and external partners, including PACER. Deliver rapid mental health assessments in crisis situations. Work across emergency and community response pathways (PACER). Thrive in a fastpaced, highacuity clinical environment. What We Are Looking For You are a decisive and resilient Consultant Psychiatrist who: Holds Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. Has experience in acute or emergency mental health settings. Thrive in fastpaced, highacuity environments.
