Attractive Base Salary of $115,000.00 + Super + Company Car. Full Time Position, supporting sites across Metro Regions in VIC. About the role GEO Healthcare provides primary healthcare to men in Public Prisons across Victoria. The AOD Regional Team Leaders are experienced social workers, counsellors, nurses, psychologists, or certified AOD practitioners and other allied health professionals, with experience in leading a multidisciplinary team of AOD Program Facilitators and Counsellors. AOD Team Leaders are responsible for the coordination, performance and quality of AOD Health Services in their Region/s. The position leads, manages and supervises the Regional AOD Team ensuring that clinical integrity and standards of the services provided are maintained and resources meet service needs. The position contributes to the provision of healthcare with a focus on safety and quality with the aim to exceed the National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards. AOD Team Leaders provide direct guidance, supervision, coaching and mentoring to their team and demonstrate strong working relationships with key stakeholders. The AOD Team Leader is also responsible for managing the development and implementation of the AOD health services program plan within their allocated Region/s. Qualifications and Experience A relevant tertiary health qualification such as Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or Nursing, Certificate IV in AOD, Diploma in AOD or extensive experience in the AOD health and/or program sectors. Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency in Psychology or Nursing or professional membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers or Australian Counselling Organisation is desirable. Demonstrated experience in the delivery of AOD health services, including group facilitation, in the primary health or mental health sectors, including leadership or coordination roles with service oversight. Experience in management and/or team leader positions that includes service coordination, human resource management, OH&S, and budget management. Experience working with priority people in prison cohorts including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, older people, young people, culturally and linguistically diverse people, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer (LGBTIQ) people. Demonstrated experience working with people with lived experience providing peer services. Experience implementing quality assurance and continuous improvement processes. Demonstrated experience building effective service delivery teams and networks, community partnerships and stakeholder relationships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively and efficiently prepare and vet reports. A commitment to ongoing professional development of self and others through training, supervision, and mentoring. An ability to communicate a clear vision, manage performance expectations, and ensure policies and procedures are adhered to. Other Requirements of the role Valid Australian drivers licence and the ability to travel between locations. Ability to work within a prison setting, which will involve direct contact with people in prison associated with the delivery of healthcare. Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Working outside of ordinary business hours may be required.
