The role focuses on maximising physical performance, minimising injury risk, and preparing athletes to meet the demands of the AFL season. Reporting to the High Performance Manager, this role will be responsible for: Designing, implementing and managing high-performance strength and conditioning programs for elite athletes Monitoring training loads and adjusting programs to optimise performance, recovery and availability Working closely with medical and rehabilitation staff to support endstage returntoplay programs Delivering nonweight bearing and alternative conditioning programs as required Conducting physical testing and using data to validate and continually improve program effectiveness Maintaining gym and cardiovascular equipment and supporting bestpractice use of performance technology Collaborating with internal stakeholders across High Performance, Medical and Football programs Our ideal person This role would suit a highly motivated and technically proficient strength and conditioning professional with experience working in elite sporting environments. You will be adaptable, collaborative and comfortable working within the demands and unique hours of an AFL football program.
