Salary: Level 2/3, $36.87 - $41.37 per hour (EA (Gov) GA 2025) Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time, Permanent - Full Time, Permanent - Part Time Overview North Lake Senior Campus (SC) is seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistant Special Needs for appointments to permanent and fixed term, fulltime and parttime vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Responsibilities In this role you will collaborate with the classroom teacher to assist in the planning and delivery of educational programs to support the learning and development of students with special needs, and mainstream students as required. You will build positive, professional working relationships with students, staff, parents/carers and stakeholders to ensure highquality outcomes. Qualifications & Experience Experience working with students with complex issues, especially related to mental health, and with support to engage in education. Experience working with students with Autism is advantageous. Proven communication and interpersonal skills, including working as part of a team to evaluate educational programmes. Organisational skills for delivery and development of effective education programmes. Knowledge of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents, with ability to assist with general health and wellbeing. Eligibility Australian or NewZealand citizen, permanent resident or holder of a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. Valid Working With Children Check before start.
