The Role Were seeking a Technical Employee Automotive to support our training team at the Alanvale campus. This proactive handson role is all about logistics and delivery supportmaintaining, repairing and building automotive training equipment, managing inventory and safety processesensuring our classrooms and workshops are equipped and ready to deliver topquality training. Working under general direction, youll ensure the safe and efficient movement and storage of tools, equipment and materials, and help maintain an organised, compliant, and accessible workspace. This is a fixedterm oneyear fulltime position. On any given day, your responsibilities will include: Assist with maintaining workshop equipment, PPE equipment and keeping learning spaces clean and safe Work collaboratively with teachers to ensure classrooms are wellprepared and stocked Assist teachers reset automotive faults in simulated automotive practical training equipment Order supplies and tools for the Automotive training programs within budget limits Receive and unpack goods, stock items in designated storage locations Keep inventory accurate, uptodate, and accessible for trainers and students Order any fuel required to run equipment/vehicles Understand and maintain current SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for safety. May be required to be a First Aid Officer or a Fire Warden What You Will Bring Experience required in the automotive industry and it is desirable to have welding/engineering and/or automotive electrical experience Great organisational skillsyou know where everything goes and how to keep it that way Confidence using ordering systems, MS Office Suite/Excel spreadsheet, tracking inventory, and managing stock Ability to lift and move equipment safely and follow WHS protocols Good communication skills and a teamoriented attitude and ability to build and maintain great working relationships with suppliers A proactive, reliable approachyou see what needs to be done and do it! Previous experience working within the automotive industry. Applicants with a trade qualification in Automotive or Engineering/Welding will be highly regarded. Current Drivers License Desirable Forklift Licence A current Working with Vulnerable People registration is required, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
