The position operates on an 8/6 ; 7/7 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure permits are prepared and remain compliant with our procedures throughout the permit to work and isolation process. Confirm hazards and controls are clearly defined and signed off by an authorised representative. Design isolation plans to ensure plant equipment is intrinsically safe to work on. Prepare work permits and assign isolation lists specific to the scope of work. Liaise with maintenance department to ensure the isolation of equipment is undertaken safely. Competent in Permit to Work system: Deliver Permit to Work Training Support supervisors and apply isolations as requested during planned and unplanned situations to reduce production delays when limited authorised isolators are available. Assist with incident investigations, utilising expertise to identify improvements, provide recommendations and actions for remediation. Shutdown representative and assistance for all permit related matters. Assist in Permit Supervisor in training, mentoring and coaching process operators on Permit To Work training and development of complex isolators. ABOUT YOU Drivers License Confined Space Working & Heights Experience in fixed operating plant or equipment in the mining industry. Ability to read and understand P&ID and engineering drawings to create isolation plans. Physical fitness to perform role and meet the physical demands required to respond in emergency or rescue situations. Mechanical aptitude. Teamwork and ability to contribute to a team. Initiative. Proactive safety focus. Computer literacy in Projects, Excel, SharePoint/teams and Word. Experience in fixed operating plant or equipment in the mining industry.
