Job Description

As a Lineworker, you''ll ensure our community has a safe and reliable electricity supply by constructing and maintaining transmission and distribution networks. You''ll respond quickly to faults to minimise disruptions, deliver high-quality work, and adapt to evolving industry standards. Working in various conditions, you''ll plan and execute tasks safely and efficiently while maintaining positive customer interactions. This is an exciting opportunity for a Lineworker on a Permanent Full Time Based at our Narrogin or Katanning Depots. Narrogin and Katanning are large towns in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, 192 kilometres southeast of Perth on the Great Southern Highway between Pingelly and Wagin. Narrogin and Katanning offer all the amenities you need, shopping, Hospital, schools, cafes and hotels. This role is covered under the CEPU Agreement and offers an attractive hourly base rate ranging from $56.00 to $66.52 per hour, dependent on qualifications and authorisations held. In addition, employees receive a site allowance of $2.50 per hour applied to all hours worked. A Housing Allowance of $200 per week as well as Remote Depot Allowance $100 per week. An additional allowance is payable to employees participating in the Availability Roster, in accordance with the Agreement. This package reflects our commitment to rewarding skills, experience, and flexibility. Your Role in Action Attending and rectifying faults in a timely manner will ensure minimal loss of supply and less disruption to the customer. Complete allocated construction and maintenance work to Western Power standards ensuring consistent quality across the network. Maintaining and enhancing core Line skills with changing industry standards and business requirements. Participating in prejob planning to identify risks, hazards and task variables and control measures to ensure safe, reliable and affordable job completion. Working in environmental elements to complete jobs subject to adequate safety and control measures being implemented. Good customer relations are upheld when working in the field especially where there is direct contact with the public.
