This is a key leadership role, perfect for someone with waste industry experience, machine operating skills, and a forklift licence who is ready to manage a team and drive operational efficiency.The Client:Located in the Fairfield region, this wellestablished operation is a leading specialist in the responsible recycling and recovery of electronic waste. The site focuses on processing endoflife electrical and electronic equipment from commercial, industrial, and government sources, with a strong emphasis on environmental compliance, data security, and material recovery. The facility handles a wide range of ewaste streams including IT and telecommunications equipment, consumer electronics, batteries, and electrical components. Using a combination of manual dismantling and advanced processing techniques, materials such as metals, plastics, and circuit boards are separated and prepared for downstream recovery, ensuring minimal waste is sent to landfill.For You:Immediate start available!3month Fixed Term contract!Up to $85k + Super! (pro rata)Possibility of extension!Opportunity to work within the growing electronic waste and sustainability sector10 minute walk from public transport!Monday to Friday role!Working 7am to 3pm!The Role:You will report to the site Supervisor and lead a dedicated team of machine operators, forklift operators, and hand sorters across your assigned production lines. You will be responsible for overseeing daytoday floor operations, ensuring staff follow safety procedures, meet production targets, and maintain high standards of quality. Working handson alongside your team, you will provide guidance, support, and coaching while managing workflow and operational priorities. This is an excellent opportunity to take a leadership role in a fastpaced ewaste recycling environment while showcasing your supervisory skills, operational expertise, and commitment to safety and efficiency.Duties:Supervising onsite floor operations and leading a team of 5 staff per sectionOverseeing machine operators, forklift operators, and hand sorters in your allocated production linesEnsuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations across your teams work areaEnsuring production targets are meet and exceededSupporting staff with machine operation, material handling, and sorting tasks as requiredMaintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and quality across all processesProviding guidance, coaching, and support to team members to achieve operational outcomesOperating of Counterbalance forklifts in production, receiving and despatch areasLiaising with the maintenance team for machine breakdowns and repairsLiaising with the site supervisor and operational administration staff for incoming deliveriesEnsuring end of shift clean downs are completed efficientlyThe Candidates:You will be a hands on leader and one that leads by example. You will motivate and mentor your team to achieve and exceed operation and production goals and targets.
