Lifeline Australia Ltd (LLA) is located in Sydney, with small teams of dedicated staff employed to lead funding and corporate relations activities, and to provide the design, technical infrastructure and governance of services across Lifelines member network. LLA recently embarked on an exciting transformation journey, guided by an ambitious strategic plan. The 2024-2027 Strategic Plan will see enhancements across services, technology and workforce to bring about better outcomes and a more accessible and flexible support system for helpseekers. ROLE The Workforce Planning and Improvement Analyst plays a key role in enhancing workforce effectiveness through strategic planning, data-driven insights, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role supports operational teams by optimising scheduling, resource allocation and workforce engagement, while identifying and implementing process improvements that drive productivity and employee experience. Through collaboration with stakeholders and the use of digital tools, the analyst ensures workforce strategies are aligned with service delivery goals and future capability needs. Responsibilities Analyse workforce and volunteer data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across capacity, capability, retention, and experience. Develop dashboards, reports, and forecasting models to support workforce planning and datainformed decision making. Monitor supply, demand, utilisation, and participation metrics to inform annual and quarterly planning cycles. Contribute to workforce planning through scenario modelling, gap analysis, and strategic insights aligned to service delivery needs. Review and improve workforce processes (e.g. recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, compliance) to enhance efficiency, automation, and data quality. Partner with operational leaders, P&C, and volunteer teams to design, implement, and measure continuous improvement initiatives. Present clear, actionable insights to stakeholders, supporting change initiatives, executive reporting, and governance requirements. About You Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience in workforce planning, scheduling, or operational resource management. Proven ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable recommendations. Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is desirable. Adept skills with Microsoft 365 tools including Power BI, Power Apps, SharePoint, Planner, Lists, and Forms. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing operational needs. High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions.
