Library Technician Grade 1 Library Resource Services Location: Strathfield Campus Employment type: Temporary Full Time until 30 September 2026 Salary: $85,313 $101,315 (base salary plus superannuation and annual leave loading) About the role The Library Technician supports the delivery of highquality customerfacing and digital library resources across TAFE NSW. Working collaboratively in a highvolume, dynamic environment, the role focuses on the processing, cataloguing, and maintenance of resources, including records management and accurate receipt and invoicing of library materials from suppliers. Responsibilities Process, catalogue, and maintain library resources. Manage acquisition and copy cataloguing tasks. Maintain records of library materials. Receive and invoice library materials from suppliers. Requirements Eligibility for paraprofessional membership of Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and an ALIA accredited library and information science qualification. Broad knowledge and understanding of library systems, collections, and services, and ability to perform acquisition and copy cataloguing tasks and activities. Willingness and ability to travel as per business requirements. Diploma qualified Library Technician. Comfortable using library systems and digital technologies. Strong customerfirst approach and ability to manage and escalation of issues. Legal & Compliance Requirements Must hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to commencing. Australian National Criminal Record Check will be conducted on the preferred applicant. Eligibility: Australian citizen, permanent resident of Australia, or New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand passport.
