This role plays a key part in driving operational outcomes by partnering with leaders, delivering practical HR solutions, and fostering a positive employee experience across a complex industrial environment.As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with operational leaders to ensure HR practices align with business priorities, support workforce effectiveness, and maintain compliance with employment legislation.About the Role The Senior HR Business Partner provides endtoend HR support to operational business units in Australia. The role partners closely with leaders to support workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and organisational effectiveness.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary HR partner for assigned business units, supporting leaders in aligning people strategies with operational goals.Provide practical advice and coaching to managers on performance management, employee relations, and leadership effectiveness.Support organisational design, workforce planning, and succession planning activities.Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, and performance concerns.Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation, modern awards, and enterprise agreements.Provide guidance on workplace policies and procedures.Support the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, performance cycles, and offboarding.Monitor and interpret HR metrics to identify trends and support decisionmaking.Partner with operational and technical leaders in fieldbased or production environments.Contribute to the development and improvement of HR processes and practices.Contribute to Global and Regional HR initiatives and projects.Support initiatives that strengthen engagement, capability, and retention.Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and service delivery.Skills, Qualifications and ExperienceDegree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.Demonstrated experience in an HR Business Partner or senior HR generalist role, ideally within mining, manufacturing, engineering, or similar operational environments.Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, modern awards, and industrial relations.Proven experience managing employee relations matters and advising leaders.Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.Practical, solutionsfocused approach to HR challenges.Excellent communication and analytical skills.What We OfferCompetitive remuneration packagePaid parental leave 12 weeks for all new parents, including nonprimary carersCompanypaid income protection and entitlements above NES long service leaveNovated leaseOngoing training, development, and genuine career progression opportunitiesEpiroc is an equal opportunity employer.
