Rewrite the future in our Emergency Management and Grants Officer position, where you will translate risk into action and opportunities into funded projects that strengthen resilience before, during and after emergencies. Permanent full time role available 35 hours per week and fortnightly RDO Flexible and Hybrid working arrangements available About the role The Emergency Management and Grants Officer is a vital position that is responsible for supporting disaster resilience, recovery, and emergency preparedness initiatives. This role involves the effective administration of disaster grant programs and coordination of emergency management activities, ensuring that funding and response efforts align with the Council''s strategic objectives. Key activities of this role include: Play a pivotal role in enhancing disaster resilience and emergency preparedness for the Central Coast community. Manage and oversee disaster grant programs to ensure compliance and effective funding utilisation. Engage with various stakeholders to foster collaboration and deliver meaningful emergency management outcomes. Support operational readiness of Emergency Operations Centres and ensure alignment with best practises. To be successful in this role, you will have: Certificate IV qualification in Emergency Management or Business Administration or related field or demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development Class C Drivers License Other important information The commencing salary for this position is up to $77,137.48. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $92,726.82 on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation We have a permanent full-time role available This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
