Hands-On, Local, Essential HV Mechanic Role on Our Farms!As a Diesel Mechanic on our farms, youll be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining heavy agricultural machinery and equipment. Your work ensures our equipment runs efficiently and reliably, keeping day-to-day farming operations smooth and productive. This is a full-time, local role, youll work standard hours, be home every night, and enjoy the stability of consistent, on-farm work without long distance travelling. Your contribution is essential to minimising downtime during critical farming seasons and supporting the success of our operations. About the Roles: Perform scheduled servicing and maintenance on a range of heavy-duty farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, highway trucks, and semi-trailers. Respond to and prioritise unplanned maintenance tasks to keep operations running smoothly. Review and follow maintenance procedures to ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard. Take on additional tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. Contribute ideas and actively participate in improving and innovating Galatis work practices. Demonstrate commitment to safety, health, and environmental policies, including Fitness for Work standards, while upholding Galatis vision and core values. What Were Looking For: Arrive fit for work and ready to get the job done. Ensure all heavy duty plant and equipment is serviced to the highest standard, no faulty machinery goes back into production. Report any incidents immediately to your Supervisor. Accurately document process improvement activities and system audits, completing them within agreed timeframes. Take part in ongoing training to keep your skills sharp. Contribute positively and collaboratively during team meetings. Essential: Current Australian manual drivers licence. Trade-qualified Heavy Duty Mechanic (Engineering). Experience with farm machinery and highway trucks. Welding ability (oxy-acetylene, MIG/TIG, arc). Able to pass full medical and drug/alcohol screening. Comfortable working in varied conditions (remote, heights, confined spaces, dusty environments). Ability to prioritise and work under pressure. Strong Safe focus. Leadership and teamwork skills. Good communication and interpersonal abilities. Be part of a growing WA-owned business.
