We provide safe accommodation, tenancy support and pathways to stable housing. We are seeking applicants who meet the minimum qualification requirements and have relevant experience in property and tenancy management or social services to join our team. About the Role The Property Liaison Officer is responsible for efficient client property management of onsite and community properties and working with clients in a trauma informed manner to enhance their tenancy skills, support independent tenancy sustainment, and resolve complex housing issues. The Property Liaison Officer will work in accordance with the values of Anglicare and support core business by providing service, guidance and specialist advice within tenancy and property management area. This is a Permanent, Full-Time position based within our Toowong Homelessness Services Women and Families site, with travel to external properties as required. Key Responsibilities Complete entry, routine and exit inspections in line with Residential Tenancies Authority provisions Assist to educate Clients on sustaining tenancies and maintaining health and safety standards Coordinate responsive maintenance, maintain asset registers and follow up repair needs Liaise with property owners, real estate managers, contractors and other relevant parties Assist to source appropriate new properties when required Promote and gather resident feedback surveys for reporting Provide clear information to support tenancy sustainability for service users Prepare and sign tenancy agreements ensuring that rights and responsibilities are explained Monitor rent payments and address arrears to minimise financial loss Prepare documents for Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal and attend hearings as required Ensure tenancy systems and processes meet operational requirements Maintain accurate tenancy files, property records and financial documentation Prepare reports and maintain statistical information Organise property maintenance within budget and report on capital and maintenance needs Work within frameworks that value difference, self determination, social justice and family strengths Implement ongoing safety and risk assessments and develop strategies to minimise risk Participate in networks to stay informed on contemporary practice Provide ideas for improving systems and assist with implementing change About You You are solutions focused, well organised and confident in managing both property tasks and supportive tenancy engagement. You communicate clearly with people from diverse backgrounds and you work calmly and respectfully in challenging situations. You enjoy building relationships, working as part of a team and supporting clients and families to access safe and stable housing. You take pride in accurate administration and you are comfortable coordinating repairs, liaising with contractors and navigating tenancy legislation. Credentials and Qualifications Current National Police Check Current Blue Card Current Queensland Driver Licence Diploma in Tenancy Coordination, Social Housing, Property Management or a similar field and or equivalent experience (desired) Diploma in Social Work, Human Services or a related field and or equivalent experience in public or community housing (desired) Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Authority Competency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems Willingness and ability to travel to different sites/locations Why you will love working with Anglicare Southern Queensland Voted Reader''s Digest Most Trusted Brand in Aged Care seven consecutive years in a row.
