We offer shared housing and assistance for individuals with ongoing mental health needs and are a registered NDIS provider. Role Overview: We seek motivated and qualified Community Support Workers for casual roles. The position involves providing holistic care within residential settings, working collaboratively with a team to support participants in their recovery journey. Key Responsibilities: Assessing clients'' needs and planning, developing and implementing educational, training and support programs Interviewing clients and assessing the nature and extent of difficulties Monitoring and reporting on the progress of clients Referring clients to agencies that can provide additional help Assessing community need and resources for health, welfare, housing, employment, training and other facilities and services Liaising with community groups, welfare agencies, government bodies and private businesses about community issues and promoting awareness of community resources and services Supporting families and providing education and disabled persons in adult service units, group housing and government institutions Assisting people to solve social, emotional and financial problems Preparing submissions for funding and resources, and reports to government bodies and other agencies Requirements: - High degree of empathy and motivation to contribute to our participant''s recovery journey. - A sincere commitment to supporting individuals facing mental health challenges. - Experience in residential care or community settings is highly desirable. - Valid Working with Vulnerable People clearance, National Criminal History Check, First Aid and CPR certification, Covid-19 Vaccination, NDIS Orientation Module, and COVID-19 Infection Control Module. - Valid full Australian drivers license and own comprehensively insured vehicle.
