Location: Nedlands, WA Unit/Division: Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services > Acute Mental Health Service Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time CRVCID No. 725903 About the Role In this role, you will practise in accordance with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council (ANMC) Professional Practice Framework, the ANMC National Competency Standards for Enrolled Nurses, and all relevant Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia codes and guidelines. You will provide safe, compassionate and evidencebased nursing care to patients and their families within the Scope of Nursing Practice DecisionMaking Framework, under the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role involves monitoring and evaluating nursing care, reporting changes in patient condition, family circumstances or care planning, and promptly escalating concerns or rapidly changing situations. You will identify common clinical issues, recognise when matters are outside your scope of practice, and access appropriate support and resources. Working collaboratively as part of the nursing team, you will liaise with patients, carers, colleagues, medical staff, allied health professionals and external agencies to support coordinated multidisciplinary care. Professional, respectful and courteous communication is essential, promoting partnership in care. In collaboration with the Registered Nurse, you will take responsibility for ongoing professional development, participate in research, quality improvement, practice development and accreditation activities, and engage in emergency management processes to ensure familiarity with organisational policies and procedures. Eligibility Requirements To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).
