Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Corporate team in Sydney, supporting a senior Partner and their wider team in a busy, highvolume practice.This role is suited to a highly capable assistant who operates as a trusted righthand support to senior lawyers. You will manage complex diaries, workflow and competing priorities to enable the practice to operate smoothly in a fastpaced, timesensitive environment.The working hours for this role are 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday.Please note we are not currently considering university students for this role.What you''ll doWorking closely with a senior Partner and their team, you will provide highlevel administrative and practice support, including:Proactive diary, inbox and workflow management, anticipating priorities and managing changeActing as a key coordination point across administrative mattersManaging correspondence, document production and matter administration to a high standardCoordinating client meetings, calls and travel arrangements with precisionLiaising confidently with clients, internal stakeholders and external partiesManaging billing processes, including prebills, edits, finalisation and cost reportingSupporting the smooth running of the practice by monitoring deadlines and commitmentsChampioning efficient ways of working, including the use of technology and AI toolsCollaborating closely with Legal Assistants and Administrative Assistants across the Corporate groupWhat you''ll bringDemonstrated experience as a Legal Assistant or senior legal support professional within a legal or professional services environmentStrong experience supporting senior stakeholders, with a calm, organised and proactive approach; excellent judgement, discretion and confidence managing sensitive matters; strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlinesExperience with billing, reporting and matter management systemsA commitment to mentoring and guiding junior team membersA serviceoriented mindset with a genuine commitment to enabling fee earners to focus on client deliveryAn innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologiesWhat you can expect from usWe''re a world leading international law firm with a global team of over 6,000 professionals across 26 offices.
