We care for our residents and clients across 34 facilities throughout metropolitan Perth and regional Western Australia and look after each individual in the way they want to be cared for.We are currently seeking a Maintenance Worker to provide maintenance support to the team at our Bethanie Joondanna Retirement Village.As a Maintenance Worker, you will be providing our site and tenants with maintenance services within their homes at the Bethanie on the Park. This rewarding position will fulfill your interest in providing a supportive and compassionate service and giving something back to the community.This role is offered on a Fulltime basis, 38 hours per week.The total remuneration for this position is: $36.74 per hour, plus super.You will have access to Bethanie tools and materials.About YouTrade or maintenance background within the construction industryExperience in general maintenance and light construction duties (or equivalent)Own a current and valid drivers licence.Time management and organisational skills necessary for performance at the required standard.Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.Ability to identify workplace safety and operate in a safe manner.A genuine interest in working with and supporting older people.Current Police Clearance, or willingness to apply for one.The RoleGeneral maintenance and light construction activities across Bethanie Peel under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Housing Managers.Carry out general maintenance and light construction tasks across sites.Inspect vacant units and scope required refurbishment works.Inspect rooms/units when they become vacant, and scope up required refurbishment works.Foster collaborative relationships with contractors, providing feedback and guidance to drive continuous improvement and ensure contractual obligations are consistently met.Participate in team/departmental meetings and other organisation meetings as required.BenefitsSalary packaging up to $15,900 per annum + up to $2,650 for meals and entertainment.
