About the Role Reporting to prison management within the Corrective Services division, you will operate a construction and maintenance workshop, overseeing building, assembly, and repair functions that support prison operations. You will supervise a team of officers and instructors, manage daytoday workshop activities, and provide accredited onthejob training and instruction to prisoners, empowering them with transferable trade skills. This handson leadership role requires someone who is organised, resilient, and committed to quality outcomes in a secure environment. Eligibility Certificate III in a Construction Trade: Brick and Block Laying, Carpentry and Joinery Certificate III in Building and Construction Certificate III in Building Maintenance Certificate III in Appliance Service Current valid Construction Induction Training accreditation (White Card) Current valid Class C Drivers Licence Valid Provide First Aid (HLTAID003 or equivalent) Permanent positions To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
