Overview The employee is responsible for the day-to-day running of operations in South Australia and Victoria for KAEFER Integrated Services Pty Ltd, to achieve the companys objectives as assigned by the Company Director/s. Objectives cover the timely completion of activities as described below. The employee will be responsible and accountable for the following: HSE Assist the company wherever possible to ensure the overall health, safety and welfare of all KAEFER personnel, contractors or visitors. Ensure all work practices are carried out in a safe manner and always complies with all applicable legislation and the KAEFERs Occupational Health Safety and Environmental (OHS & E) policies / procedures, to achieve a zero tolerance of unsafe practices. Actively promote and adhere to all KAEFER OHS & E policies / procedures. Assist the company wherever possible to ensure employees, clients and visitors comply with the KAEFER Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures always. Role Required Identity potential clients and target opportunities. Promote KAEFERs identity. Promote industry awareness of KAEFERs services and capabilities. Facilitate the ongoing development of business relationships with new and existing clients. Monitor tender register. Identify new areas of potential opportunity and fields of operation. Prepare and submit tender pre-qualification questionnaires. Participate in tender reviews and ensure that submissions meet client requirements and effectively promote the organization. Focus to develop relationships to secure maintenance contracts, both industrial and infrastructure where company skills are appropriate. Liaison with the Operations Director to form strategies and carefully coordinate activities to ensure crossover of contracts is eliminated. Ensure that client works are completed to the required quality, safety and environmental standards. Coordinate the work of supervisors and work teams to ensure that works are completed as efficiently as possible. Identify problems affecting the ability to perform the project works and resolve those problems with the participation of customer representatives as required. Ensure all discipline techniques are applied to ensure safety and quality requirements are met. Implementation and management of Insulation, Scaffolding, Access Solutions, Blasting, Painting and Coating materials are used to meet quality standards. Management of personnel numbers and skills to meet client deadlines. Aim to further KAEFERs profitability and reputation for excellence and professionalism Business Development Develop, promote and increase the business activities of the company wherever possible. Comfortable with the management and responsibility for all contracts applicable to the region Management of material consumption in an efficient manner to reduce project costs. Management of all productivity and efficiency initiatives to deliver sustained results. Full responsibility for the P&L of all operations within South Australia and Victoria Understanding and ownership of all contracts applicable to the region Reporting Ensure all reports, timesheets, day work sheets, material requests and the like are completed in a timely matter as required. Professionally represent the Company in coordination meetings with client representatives as required. Ensure contract compliance with regards to customer daily / weekly QA/QC Reports. QA/QC Plan and implement work methodologies to ensure required quality standards are achieved. Conduct and participate in regular quality audits to ensure compliance with company, client and legislative requirements. Always comply with all aspects of the company quality policies and procedures. Insist that all products or services delivered to clients meet the strict quality standards always set by the company. Provide direction and mentoring to the quality team. Continually seek to improve the quality standards within the business. Assist with the resolution of any workplace grievances or safety concerns by following the steps prescribed within Project procedures Assist other team members within the Company wherever practical to achieve organisational objectives. Provide training and support to project team members and subordinates as required. Position Specifications Education Project Management and / or Management Training or Qualifications Leadership and Personnel Management Training Offshore Safety Training Certificates Knowledge and Experience Required At least five (5) years experience in a similar management role on large resource industry projects. At least ten (10) years technical experience in large resource industry projects, both onshore and offshore. Experience dealing with a range of discipline techniques. Demonstrated ability to deliver high standards of HSE performance on large resource construction projects. Demonstrated ability to provide direction and mentoring to the quality assurance and control personnel. Knowledge of SAP accounting package would be advantageous Experience preventing and resolving workplace and industrial relations conflict. Particular Skills Required Highly proficient in verbal and written English language skills for professional presentations, reports and written correspondence. Proficient in the use of multiple computer applications including MS Excel, MS Word & MS Office Highly developed organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex tasks by coordinating the work of others.
