The Team Midlands Multipurpose Health Centre (MMPHC) is situated in Oatlands. The centre has 18 permanent residential aged care beds, 4 rural health beds and a 24-hour acute care centre. MMPHC is part of THS-S and has a close working relationship with Sub Acute, Aged and Community (SAACS) stream and the broader THS community. The Role Planning and management of human, physical and financial resources including rosters and clinical care allocation. Act as a role model, providing clinical leadership and acting as a clinical resource for staff. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to facilitate complex care and safe admissions and discharge of inpatients. Gain familiarity with requirements of the Aged Care Safety and Quality Commission, including reporting requirements. You will need Demonstrated clinical experience in the relevant practice area, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative and work with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to understand the business of the unit/service in delivering the best outcomes within available resources, including a demonstrated understanding of patient flow principles and discharge planning in the pursuit of patient/client goals within a contemporary healthcare framework. Demonstrated ability to contribute to the evaluation, innovation and development of services provided by the unit/service and the review of clinical practice policy, procedures and protocols. Details of appointment Fixed term, part-time shift worker position, working 24 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of up to six (6) months. Hours are to be negotiated with the successful applicant. For a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies. Salary 109,767 to 115,813 per annum (Pro rata). Our employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Additional allowances may include a Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
