Clinical Pharmacist - Slade Pharmacy Tennyson Pharmacy Adelaide Part Time Slade Pharmacy About the Role Were excited to offer a part-time max term contract opportunity to join our team at Slade Pharmacy Tennyson in Kurralta Park, delivering high quality clinical pharmacy services to our Icon Cancer Care Hospital. This role is ideal for pharmacists seeking flexibility while building or further developing their experience in a hospital environment. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team including doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals to support safe and effective medication management. Your responsibilities will include medication chart reviews and reconciliation, patient counselling, and contributing to discharge planning, all within a supportive and collaborative setting. This role also offers exposure to specialised clinical areas including oncology and Special Access Scheme medications, with opportunities to broaden your experience across our South Australian network. You will be fully supported with training and ongoing development as part of a team that is committed to patient care and professional growth. This is a part-time max term contract working approximately 30.4 hours per fortnight, rostered Thursday and Friday. The contract is currently in place until 13th September, with potential for extension subject to operational requirements. Key Responsibilities Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stays, day infusions and discharge Manufacturing and compounding of aseptic cytotoxic products and non-hazardous patient prescriptions, including the sterile cleaning process Provide advice on drug selection and usage Counsel patients on the proper use of medicines Check the accuracy of prescriptions dispensed by pharmacy technicians Dispense and supply medications and pharmacy products Conduct ward collection and delivery roundsSupport and liaise with patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion and medicine use Participate in quality and research activities within the department About You Were looking for a passionate, flexible and adaptable pharmacist who is ready to take the next step in their career. Key Requirements Current AHPRA registration as a pharmacist Previous experience in an Australian or New Zealand pharmacy Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) Excellent time management, communication and teamwork skills Commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth High attention to detail and ability to work independently Hospital experience is not required structured training will be provided to help set you up for success.
