Finance and Procurement Officer Location: Adelaide, SA, AU, 5000 Onsite or Hybrid: Flexible locations to support operational excellence. Driving operational excellence through smart procurement, accurate financial stewardship, and strong stakeholder relationships. About the Role This position supports Babcocks joint venture H&B Defence Pty Ltd in ensuring smooth, accurate, and compliant financial and procurement operations. The role requires managing the full lifecycle of transactional finance and purchasing activity, from supplier onboarding and contract preparation to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and daily banking. It includes a strong focus on internal controls, timely processing, maintaining highquality supplier and customer data, and supporting the procuretopay process. Responsibilities Shape supplier relationships and strengthen commercial governance. Play a key role in financial accuracy, controls, and continuous improvement. Manage the full lifecycle of transactional finance and purchasing activity, including supplier onboarding, contract preparation, accounts payable and receivable, and daily banking. Analyse spend, identify opportunities for aggregation, and create dashboards to support leaders decisionmaking. Contribute to supplier relationship management and act as subjectmatter expert for the procuretopay process. Support monthend close, continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain meticulous records for audit readiness and operational transparency. Ensure compliance with trade control and other regulatory requirements. Commit to safety, integrity, and excellence, modelling H&Bs values and contributing to a positive team culture. Qualifications Strong foundation in finance and procurement with experience managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. Proficient with supplier contracts, financial systems, and procurement processes. Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data, identify trends, and present actionable insights. Excellent communication skills; collaborative, proactive, and solutionsoriented. Ability to navigate routine tasks and adhoc challenges while maintaining accurate records. Willingly obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Personnel Security Clearance as defined by AGSVA guidelines.
