Bus Driver / Station Assistant - Maryborough West Location: Maryborough West, QLD, AU, 4650 Company: Queensland Rail Job Summary As a Bus Driver / Station Assistant youll drive a bus between Maryborough West and Hervey Bay, drive a company vehicle to Howard Station for cleaning and maintenance duties, and work with a small team to support station operations. This temporary fulltime position runs until June 2028. Key Responsibilities Convey passengers between Maryborough West and Hervey Bay General cleaning and maintenance duties at Maryborough and Howard Stations (e.g. cleaning, mowing, whipper snipping) Assist customers and handle luggage Make platform announcements and manage the platform Report any safety concerns Operate station machinery and equipment Perform additional duties as requested by the Supervisor Schedule & Travel Regular travelling between Maryborough West, Hervey Bay, and Howard is required. Work shifts rotate across morning, day, and night shifts on a roster, typically between 04:00 and 22:00. The role requires weekend and public holiday work, plus occasional travel to Brisbane and Rockhampton for training.
