Technical Lead Job Description Technical Leadership & Visibility Provides end-to-end visibility across the platform''s technical domains and facilitates collaboration among technical SMEs and consuming product teams. Evaluates technical feasibility and options, balancing platform capability needs against delivery effort. Identifies dependencies, technical risks, and mitigation options across shared services, and ensures technical health of platform assets and adherence to a technical debt budget. Direction & Requirements Works with the technical leadership and stakeholders to define technical requirements, shape the platform roadmap, and drive value through reliable, reusable capabilities. Sets and continuously improves technical standards and delivery patterns for the crew. Ensures platform decisions are made with a product mindset understanding the needs of internal product teams as customers and their end users as the ultimate beneficiary. Delivery & Engineering Excellence Owns delivery outcomes for the squad driving predictability through estimation, iteration and proactive dependency management. Provides leadership to engineers on principles and practices, ensuring consistency in approach and building quality in by default. Leads by example, aligning the squad''s execution with the platform vision and measuring success through tangible, demonstrable impact. Crew and Squad Mission The Identity & Public Platform squad owns Domain''s AuthN and AuthZ services, as well as the Domain Developer Portal and Public API gateway. We are responsible for ensuring secure, reliable access to Domain''s products for both internal and external consumers, managing everything from OAuth client lifecycles and finegrained permissions to selfservice API onboarding and documentation for external developers. As we evolve the Domain technology landscape, our squad plays a pivotal role in the integration with CoStar Groups global platform. We focus on maintaining the criticalpath services that underpin every authenticated interaction at Domain while evolving our architecture to support the global integration and needs of our expanding ecosystem.
